Investment: “Luminary raises $22M”
Luminary, a NYC-based provider of an AI-native wealth transfer and administration platform, raised $22M in Series A funding led by Ten Coves Capital.
The round included participation from BNY, 8VC, Fin Capital, Focus Financial Partners, Rockefeller Capital Management’s FinTech Innovation Fund and family offices.
Led by CEO David Barnard, Luminary turns estate and ownership documents into structured data that powers scenario modeling, beneficiary outcome and tax modeling, exemption tracking, trust and entity structuring, and secure multi-party collaboration. Key features of its platform include Luminary Insights, Estate 360, standardized reporting templates, a deterministic tax engine and estate waterfall visualizations. Customers include Caprock, IEQ Capital and Wealth Enhancement Group. The raise brought the company’s total financing to nearly $32M.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to build on its AI capabilities and integrations, push into administration workflows and expand its commercial team.
