Pascal raises $8.5M
Pascal, a Watertown, MA-based developer of solid refrigerant technology for new cooling systems, raised $8.5M in additional funding.
The round was co-led by Sazze Partners and LB Investment, with participation from KDB Silicon Valley.
The company has also secured $839K in grant funding, including a $500K ARPA-E grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, and $239K InnovateMass and $100K Climatetech Tax Incentives Program grants from Mass Clean Energy Center, bringing its total funding to date to $17.3M.
The company intends to use the funds to support its initial deployments with a multinational beverage manufacturer as it advances its technology toward industrial-scale applications.
Led by co-founder and CEO Adam Slavney, and co-founder and CTO Jinyoung Seo, Pascal develops solid refrigerants designed to replace hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) in cooling systems. Their platform delivers non-flammable, PFAS-free, and non-toxic solid refrigerants that operate within standard pressure ranges to provide energy and cost savings across various HVAC applications.
