Digital B2B cross-border trade platform Karavan, which connects manufacturers and suppliers in Türkiye with international buyers, has finalized the second tranche of its pre-seed round from StartupCentrum Alpha Venture Capital Investment Fund, bringing its total pre-seed funding to 20 million TL.
Following an initial 10 million TL round secured in February 2026, the company unlocked the additional 10 million TL after fulfilling performance targets set during the first tranche. After launching its platform in July 2026, Karavan generated more than $1.3 million in gross merchandise volume (GMV) within a short operating window.
End-to-End Cross-Border Commerce for Regional Expansion
Karavan consolidates the cross-border trade workflow into a single platform—spanning matchmaking, quotation requests, deal negotiations, secure payments, freight transport, and customs clearance.
Looking forward, the company plans to onboarding more domestic suppliers and scale its network into international markets, prioritizing Central Asia and the Turkic World.
Commenting on the milestone, Karavan Co-Founder and CEO Islam Shakhbandarov noted:
”When we founded Karavan, our goal was to simplify export operations for manufacturers and suppliers in Türkiye. After securing our initial investment in February, we rolled out the platform and quickly surpassed $1.3 million in trade volume after our launch in July. Reaching these operational metrics triggered our second 10 million TL tranche, bringing our pre-seed total to 20 million TL. Moving forward, we aim to expand our footprint across Central Asia and the Turkic World, building a resilient trade network originating from Türkiye. We thank the Arz Portföy and StartupCentrum teams for their continued partnership”
