Investment: “WRTN raises $72.23 million”
WRTN, a South Korea–based artificial intelligence company that provides users access to leading large language models and develops AI-powered entertainment and conversational products, has raised $72.23 million in a Series C financing.
Investors in the round included Coreline Ventures, Eugene Asset Management, Goodwater Capital, Antler Global, Woori Venture Partners and the Korea Development Bank.
Founded in 2021 by Lee Se-young, Lee Dong-jae, Jae Sung-won and Yoo Young-joon, WRTN is headquartered in South Korea.
WRTN enables users to access major large language models such as GPT, Claude and Gemini for free and consolidates different AI models on a single platform to make these technologies more accessible. The company also develops consumer-facing AI products for entertainment and communication: OOC is positioned as an AI-driven entertainment content platform, while Crack allows users to chat with AI characters. WRTN generates revenue particularly through these services. The new financing brings the company’s total funding to $166 million and values WRTN at $722 million.
The company said it will use the investment to accelerate its global expansion and further develop its AI services.
