Investment: “Pixxel raises $100 million”
Pixxel is an India-based space data company developing hyperspectral imaging satellites. Pixxel raised $100 million in a Series C round jointly led by Temasek and Seraphim.
Other participants in the round included Radical Ventures, growX Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and IMM Investment.
Founded in 2019 by Awais Ahmed and Kshitij Khandelwal, Pixxel builds hyperspectral imaging satellites that analyze light across different wavelengths to reveal details that are not visible in conventional satellite imagery. The company’s Firefly satellite constellation is already in orbit, and Pixxel aims to deliver high-resolution hyperspectral data at global scale. In addition to satellite hardware, Pixxel develops Aurora, a world intelligence software platform that integrates diverse satellite data and AI-powered analytics to turn raw imagery into meaningful insights and decision-support outputs.
Following this round, the company’s total funding has reached $195 million.
Pixxel said it will use the new capital to expand its Honeybee satellite constellation and its high-resolution optical imaging satellites, and to further develop the Aurora Earth intelligence platform.
