Investment: “Jaipur Robotics raises €4.3M”

Jaipur Robotics develops computer vision and automation technology for waste-to-energy and other industrial plants. The Swiss industrial AI company Jaipur Robotics has raised €4.3 million in seed funding in a round led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).

Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Manno, near Lugano, Jaipur Robotics develops computer vision and AI systems designed to improve the safety, efficiency and automation of industrial facilities, including waste-to-energy, cement and biomass plants. The company is initially focused on waste-to-energy facilities, where plant operators process large volumes of heterogeneous waste while managing safety risks, equipment downtime and combustion efficiency.

Its platform uses computer vision to analyse waste entering and moving through a facility, turning visual data into information that can be used to identify hazardous materials, improve waste mixing and support automated crane operations. Jaipur Robotics says its system is trained on a dataset of more than 50 million labelled images from European waste-to-energy operations and analyses more than five million tonnes of waste annually, reporting hazardous material detection accuracy of 99 per cent and deployments that have reduced unplanned shutdowns by more than 80 per cent at individual plants. Its calorific-value mapping is used to support waste mixing and combustion processes, while predictive guidance can assist with crane operations.

The company plans to use the funding to expand into additional markets and further develop its technology, including broadening its capabilities for waste-to-energy and other industrial applications.
