Investment: Itoflow raises $2.5M

AI investment platform Itoflow has raised $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to develop technology that helps professional investment teams automate and scale research and portfolio management. The round was led by Balderton Capital.

Other participants included angel investors, notably Cleo founder Barney Hussey‑Yeo.

Founded in 2026, Itoflow is developing AI agents that learn how individual investment firms research opportunities, assess risk and review portfolios. Rather than applying a predefined investment strategy, the platform is designed to translate each team’s existing approach into governed workflows that can operate continuously across global markets.

Itoflow supports multiple asset classes, including equities, bonds, exchange‑traded funds, commodities and digital assets. Its agentic infrastructure has been built to give the company greater control over the security and reliability of agents designed to operate over extended periods as market conditions change. In current pilots, investment teams define their approach, risk constraints and review criteria in plain language and Itoflow’s agents conduct quantitative research and backtesting, monitor portfolios and surface material changes with supporting evidence. Customers can set which agent actions and thresholds require human approval, and institutional clients can deploy the platform within their own infrastructure so proprietary strategies and sensitive data remain in‑house. The company is running pilots with hedge funds and family offices globally and is in discussions with exchanges, brokerages and financial data providers.

The new funding will be used to expand Itoflow’s engineering and quantitative research teams, accelerate product development and support its commercial and regulatory work.

“Our long-term research goal is to build self-improving investment agents. As an agent supports a mandate over months and years, it should learn which approaches continue to hold up, identify promising new signals and recognise when an apparent edge has decayed. Within the parameters set by each investment team, these agents could become a powerful tool for continuous discovery,”

said Aditya Jha, co‑founder and CEO of Itoflow.
