Investment: “Dawraty raises USD 2M”

Dawraty, a Kuwait-based bilingual education technology company and AI learning platform, has secured USD 2 million in a seed round led by Qatar Development Bank. The company focuses on healthcare education, professional certification, and exam preparation and works primarily with institutional customers.

The USD 2 million seed round values Dawraty at USD 10 million. Qatar Development Bank’s investment followed due diligence through its 2026 Accelerator Program, and the round remains open to additional co-investors until the end of November 2026.

Founded by Dr. Ryan Dougherty and Hamad AlThunayan, Dawraty is headquartered in Kuwait and provides an institutional-focused learning platform that enables universities, medical colleges, professional training academies, hospital groups, school networks, and government training bodies to deliver and track accredited learning in Arabic and English. The company expands into new markets through master partnership and reseller agreements and secured its first contracted institutional revenue in Qatar after signing a master partnership.

Dawraty operates across Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan and counts partners such as Kuwait University, the University of Bahrain, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, Belvedere Group, and Johns Hopkins for continuing medical education. It also signed a reseller agreement with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) in September 2026.

The investment will be used to support Dawraty’s expansion across healthcare education, professional certification, and exam preparation as the company seeks to convert regional institutional partnerships into further revenue growth while scaling its bilingual learning infrastructure.
