Co-founded by Görkem Yurtseven and Burkay Gür, generative media infrastructure startup fal has raised $1.3 billion in a new funding round at a $16 billion valuation, effectively doubling its valuation. The San Francisco-based company with a team in Türkiye had previously secured $350 million at an $8 billion valuation in April 2026.
The funding round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from NVIDIA, Sound Ventures, HOF Capital, and T. Rowe Price Group. Following the round, Bessemer Partner Talia Goldberg joined fal’s board of directors. Providing developers with seamless API access to top image, video, and audio AI models, fal has crossed $800 million in ARR and plans to use the capital to scale its compute infrastructure and expand its 185-person team.
