Cyera, a cybersecurity startup that automatically discovers and classifies sensitive data across cloud systems and databases, has raised 400 million dollars in an F series round led by Blackstone.

The round included investors Accel, Coatue, Lightspeed, Redpoint, Sapphire, Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Georgian, Greenoaks and Spark Capital.

The company was founded in 2021 by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan. Cyera offers a data security platform that automatically locates sensitive data across cloud environments and databases, classifies it by type and risk level, makes personal, financial and regulated data visible to simplify compliance with KVKK and GDPR, continuously monitors who and which applications access that data, and surfaces misconfigurations, excessive privileges and potential data-leakage risks.

Cyera had recently raised 540 million dollars at a 6 billion dollars valuation; with the new investment its valuation rose to 9 billion dollars, and the company has now raised a total of 1.7 billion dollars to date.

The company said it will use the new funding to accelerate product development, expand its AI-focused data security capabilities and grow sales and operations capacity across global markets.
